This workshop will explore how to move with ease and freedom. We will spend the first half practicing Awareness Through Movement, a mindful movement practice used to re-pattern the nervous system, and then spend the remaining time leaning how connect with another person through the fluid motions of Contact Improvisation dance.
You will learn to:
Overcome limitations in your movement
Move with fluidity on and off of the floor
Listen to a partner and improvise using all part of your body

About the Instructor
Jeremy Cline
Jeremy Cline (he/him) is a US-based performer, choreographer, and teacher.
He has worked as a professional dancer for a decade and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in choreography from the University of Iowa. His choreography has been shown nationally and in 2021 he co-founded Skoptur, a company pushing the boundaries of networked performance and integrating movement and digital arts. Jeremy has had the opportunity to tour over 70 cities in 8 countries with Disney on Ice as a skater, character performer, live host, and acrobat, performing in front of over 2 million people. He is also a long-time practitioner of Capoeira Angola, bboying, contact improvisation, and is a certified Awareness Through Movement teacher through the Feldenkrais Method.
